Space Shuttle Atlantis

Just a few minuets ago, the space shuttle Atlantis landed safely at Edwards Air Force Base to conclude its 28 mission. Atlantis spent two weeks in space, delivering an addition to the International Space Station. Also, Atlantis brought home one astronaut who set the endurance record for the longest single spaceflight by a woman at 195 days.

Whenever a space shuttle lands, as it crosses from supersonic to subsonic, it emits its signature twin sonic boom. Today the sonic boom sounded at about 12:47 local time. I live about 80 miles form Edwards and approximately 30 seconds after Atlantis made the sonic boom, I heard it standing inside my house. The last time I heard the twin sonic boom was 5 years ago when i was rehearsing my 8th grade promotion. That was the shuttle Endeavour returning from its two week mission to the International Space Station.

I'M BACK ! !

I'm back now and I hope it is for good.

One reason I haven't been posting is school. The time I would post things at school was taken away from me. After that, blogger was blocked by the computers. Now that doesn't matter. I am done with High School!! My graduation ceremony is next Wednesday.

I have to get this off my chest. The Arizona Diamondbacks have had the worst interleague trip right now. First, we had to play the Red Sox. We won the first and third game, but lost the second. After the Sox, we had to travel to New York to play the Yankees. The D-Backs were swept by the Yankees extending their winning streak to 9. I can hope that the Orioles 5 game losing streak will work in my favor. Also, the Dodgers are hosting the Angels this weekend. I hope the Angels sweep the Dodgers like they did earlier in the year. I'm not sure how the Padres/Cubs game is going to turn out. All I have to say is... "Go Cubs."

Problems Arise

My "Resolution" is going to be difficult to accomplish because I am a gamer. I play computer games most of the time I'm on the computer. There is a game that has been out for a few years that I took a break from for about a year, but I have started playing again because the expansion that they started talking about March '05 came out last Tuesday. The game I am talking about is World of Warcraft(WoW). WoW is a Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game. A week or two before the relase of WoW: The Burning Cursade, there were over 8 million people playing this game world wide.

It's lunch at school right now and it is about over, so I have to go. I will still try to post something every week still.

It's Been A While

Sorry for the 3 month pause. I have been busy and haven't had time to sit down and write anything down. That should change now. As a what could be called "New-Years Resolution," i am going to try to have at least one post per week. Lunch has just ended at school and I have to go now.

Last Diamondback Game

Today is the last day I had to watch my Arizona Diamondbacks on TV this season. I can only watch them when they play the Dodgers. Unfortunately, the D-Backs lost 5 to 1, by a walk-off grand slam by Nomar Garciaparra. The D-Backs started the season looking pretty good, then June came around and they dropped like a rock. In July, they started to come back, but never got back into first. This season was much better than the last few where the D-Backs finshed last in the league.

On the plus side, my football team who has had three horrible seasons and started off this season 0-2, didn't lose today. Of course it is difficult to lose on a bye week but if any team could find a way, I'm sure it's the Raiders. I'm only joking of course. I'm am a loyal and proud Raider fan and I am still hoping for the best. I can't wait to see Walter start against the Browns next Sunday.

At School

Right now I am at school and obviously not doing a whole lot. My school is basicly for kids that have f-d up at their original high school. On Fridays, we have something called a "buy-out." When someone gets a "buy-out," they don't have to come to school on Friday. To earn "buy-out," you have to have all your work in and be on time to every class Monday through Thursday. I'm a little behind in one of my three English classes, so I couldn't get "buy-out" this week. I am at this school because I was lazy and hate to write. I only need 42.5 credits ( 8 and a half classes). As I said in my last post, i should be out of here by at latest, March. I'll be counting the days.

Why I Am Here

I am here to give my two cents on anything and everthing that I want to talk about. My dad suggested that I start a blog just to practice writing. My dad is a big time blogger. He has his own blogspot page and he lets his opinion be known on several blog sites.

As for me, I am 17 (18 in about a week). I am still in high school and hoping to graduate by early March '07. My biggest intrest would be military aircraft. I know a lot about American World War II planes and modern jets. I also like football and baseball. My football team is the Raiders (not to happy at the moment but hoping for the best) and my baseball team is the Arizona Diamondbacks.

I have to mention that i play basketball at school for fun, not on a team. Anyway, I sprained my thumb last Tuesday and typing is a little... difficult. Give me some time to heal and I will start to post more frequently.
